PEOPIL Conference in Barcelona 2026

From 20 to 23 May 2026, representatives of our firm had the pleasure of taking part in one of the most important events on the international legal scene — the Joint Conference of the Mass Torts and Product Liability & Women in Law, organised by PEOPIL (the Pan-European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers) and the AAJ (American Association for Justice), in beautiful Barcelona.

The conference took place in the heart of the Catalan capital and was hosted by the Barcelona Bar Association. Four days filled with lectures, workshops and conversations created a unique space for the exchange of knowledge and experience among lawyers from around the world.

The event brought together experts specialising in product liability, mass compensation claims and pharmaceutical cases — areas that have for years been one of the pillars of our practice. Running in parallel was a strand devoted to women in law (Women in Law) — open exclusively to members of PEOPIL and the AAJ — combining professional discussion panels with hands-on workshops.

Our Role in PEOPIL

The firm was represented by attorney Sylwia Myśliwska — a partner at the firm and a member of the board of PEOPIL. Her presence at the conference was not merely attendance at an event, but an active contribution to shaping this legal community at the European and global level. She was accompanied by two lawyers from our team.

The conference was an excellent opportunity to deepen our knowledge of current trends in compensation law, to forge new professional contacts and to strengthen relationships with partners from abroad. Inspiring discussions with practitioners from many countries confirmed just how strongly the questions of manufacturers’ liability and the protection of injured parties’ rights are taking on a transnational dimension.

The Women in Law strand was particularly important to us — it is a space in which female lawyers from around the world share their experiences, support one another and together shape the face of modern legal practice. Media workshops, panels on leadership and diversity, and informal conversations over dinner created an atmosphere of openness and genuine exchange.

For us, taking part in PEOPIL conferences is above all an opportunity to build and nurture contacts with lawyers from around the world and to exchange experience at an international level. We are delighted to have been part of this event and are already looking forward to the next gathering.
